  • Director - Information Security Specialist

  • The Information Security Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operational processes associated with managing the Revantage information security program.  The role will include protecting system boundaries and ensuring IT systems, applications, and network devices are hardened against threats. The role will require exceptional communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels within the organization.

    As the Information Security Specialist, one is held accountable to, however, not limited to the following job functions:

    • Responsible for the design, engineering, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the security program
    • Must remain current on security trends and intelligence in order to guide and evolve the security program and identify ways to improve and evolve the security program
    • Perform ongoing threat, vulnerability, risk assessments and investigations
    • Lead incident response
    • Generate high quality forensic reports and synopses presenting complex technical processes and findings clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical business unit managers.
    • Implement effective awareness training programs to educate staff on information security policies and procedures
    • Manage projects and other implementation activities for security controls for the enterprise
    • Investigate network and computer intrusions to identify root cause, generate indicators of compromise, and implement remediations
    • Respond to audit and exam requests for information. Review issues and plan response activities with CISO. Manage response activities to ensure responses are properly implemented
    • Design and conduct periodic tests to ensure compliance with security standards, policies and procedures
    • Produce comprehensive management reports on the effectiveness and value of the control activities of security operations
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent required
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification required
    • SANS certifications preferred
    • 7-10 years of progressively more responsible Information Security experience
    • 3 years Information Security Management experience
