The Counsel – Corporate and Operations has principal responsibility to provide legal support to Blackstone portfolio companies and to Revantage on legal issues and projects that span the breadth of the corporate and real estate operations functions. Being an astute and business-oriented attorney is a key component of the position. This position is based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, IL.
Revantage Corporate Services was created in August 2017 to provide corporate services consisting of HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, Risk Management and Technology to real estate portfolio companies owned by Blackstone funds, in various sectors including multifamily (LivCor), commercial office (Equity Office), retail (ShopCore), hotel (BRE Hotels & Resorts), and industrial (Link). As Revantage expands, it could provide services to additional Blackstone companies.

The position requires an attorney with at least 5 years of relevant experience and a solid background in complex transactions and general corporate practices. Prior real estate legal experience is desired but not required. We seek candidates with immediately transferable skills, as well as prior experience in-house and in a large or mid-sized law firm with a sophisticated corporate practice.
Should be able to work as part of a team and also independently. Must have strong drafting, communication, organization and problem-solving skills. Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
