  • Senior Accountant – Accounting Technology

  • The Accounting Technology - Senior Accountant functions as liaison between technical systems and financial business personnel to support and improve business strategies, processes, goals and objectives of Revantage.

    As the Senior Accountant – Accounting Technology, one is held accountable to, however not limited to, the following job functions:

    • Understand financial reporting requirements of the Portfolio Companies
    • Provide financial systems support to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with all company-defined internal controls
    • Demonstrate working knowledge of general ledger accounting software and relational database concepts
    • Become proficient in Workday system functionality and configuration of Revantage business practices
    • Provide training and functional support to end-users
    • Facilitate communication between the technology team and business stakeholders to ensure solutions will meet business requirements
    • Ensure consistent application of procedures within existing financial systems and downstream reporting applications
    • Assist in the onboarding of new portfolios and ongoing matters of data governance
    • Analyze, understand and troubleshoot issues within the financial systems applications, reporting tools, and ancillary systems
    • Quickly recognize areas for internal improvements and provide creative, comprehensive solutions
    • Participate in the coordination and implementation of future enhancement and/or integration projects for our financial reporting systems

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3-5 years’ experience
    • Must have knowledge of US GAAP
    • Strong communication (written and verbal), problem solving, and interpersonal skills
    • Drive and desire to learn new technologies and grow technical and functional skill sets
    • Real estate accounting preferred
    • CPA certification preferred
    • Must be a motivated self-starter with strong team leadership and problem-solving skills, the aptitude to think independently, and the motivation to work with a team in a rapidly changing environment
    • Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
    • Strong Excel skills required; experience with Workday and Essbase preferred
    • Experience implementing new finance systems and applications preferred
