  • Data & Analytics Intern - BRE Hotels & Resorts

    Our Data & Analytics intern will have the opportunity to expand their passion for data, research and analytics within Blackstone Group real estate portfolio companies.  Our companies represent an assortment of real estate businesses, including Industrial, Hotels, Retail, Multi-family, Office and Senior Housing.  Our companies embody a culture of best-in-class services, comprised of dynamic professionals who love analyzing problems and bring an entrepreneurial spirit to our companies.  We created this summer internship program to develop and invest in future real estate leaders.



    Our Data & Analytics intern is hired for a 10-week immersive experience where they learn the fundamentals of research, data analytics and the hotel industry, while also experiencing the culture of BRE Hotels & Resorts.  During the internship, individuals will receive training and work on a variety of projects that directly impact the business, such as market research, data analysis, strategy analysis and computer programming. Summer interns are immediately apart of our collaborative culture building enduring relationships with their fellow interns, manager and an assigned mentor.  Summer interns also have the opportunity to network with various professionals through organized social events.  Finally, each summer intern will work with an assigned mentor to complete a project and co-present their findings with other interns to the executive leadership team.  

    Our 2020 summer internship program will begin June 2020 and last through August 2020. To be eligible, you must be a college student during the time of the internship program.


    • Conduct initial research hotel markets, assets and other industry shaping trends
    • Analyze hotel performance and develop tools to improve forecasting
    • Leverage, retrieve, upload, reconcile and analyze data from several research, financial and industry-specific systems
    • Perform special ad-hoc projects, reporting and analysis as needed


    • Current junior undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution (graduating 2021)
    • Pursuing a degree in computer science, statistics or mathematics
    • Minimum GPA of 3.3
    • Desire to work in real estate/hospitality industry
    • Strong work ethic and excellent technical/quantitative/analytical skill set
    • Strong knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint; advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work in New York City in a full-time capacity for 10 weeks, beginning in June of 2020.
