Specialist - Data Analyst

Job Locations US-Chicago

The Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for serving as a gatekeeper for the designated organization’s data, helping stakeholders understand data, and to use data to make strategic business decisions. This position is based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, IL.


Revantage Corporate Services, an affiliated company of Blackstone, was created in August 2017 to provide consultative services consisting of People & Culture, Finance, Tax, Legal, Risk Management and Technology to real estate portfolio companies owned by Blackstone funds, in various sectors including multifamily (LivCor), commercial office (Equity Office), retail (ShopCore), hotel (BRE Hotels & Resorts), and industrial (Link).  As Revantage expands, we may provide services to additional Blackstone companies. 



  • Mine data from primary and secondary sources, organize data in a format that can be easily read by human or machine.
  • Interpret data sets, identifying trends, patterns that could be valuable for diagnostics and predictive analytics efforts.
  • Understand data transformation and rules mapping.
  • Demonstrate the significance of the work in the context of enterprise wide initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate trends, patterns and predictions using relevant data to management and SLT.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers and other organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, system modifications and develop policies for data governance.
  • Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of data analysis process and replicate the analysis if necessary.


  • Real Estate experience and knowledge required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related field.
  • Experience conducting requirements and process analyses.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos, Power BI)
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and spreadsheet tools.
  • Experience in Agile / Lean methodology.
  • Knowledgeable on data management and governance practices and principles.
  • Intellectual curiosity and integrity.
  • Motivation and drive to achieve long-term business outcomes.
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to influence.
  • Focus on business efficiency and optimization.
  • Passion for solving real business problems with data-driven solutions.
