Portfolio Controller

Link Logistics Real Estate (“Link”) is an industrial real estate operating platform owned by The Blackstone Group Inc.  Link currently manages a national portfolio of high-quality, well-located industrial assets totaling over 397 million square feet throughout the U.S. 

 

The Portfolio Controller will conduct a high level review of financials by acquisition portfolio and will identify areas that pose risk. 

  • Identify training issues/areas of improvement and successes of staff. Communicate these effectively with staff.
  • Provide Same Store Analysis based on summaries provided by Staff/Leads.
  • Underwriting to Actual NOI summary.
  • Reforecast to NOI summary.
  • Lease statistics file.
  • Financial reporting slide deck for portfolio.
  • Review of financial impact from major transactions within portfolio.
  • Review of all dispositions and acquisition entries within portfolio.
  • Communicate recommendations where process improvement may be needed.
  • Accounting guidance review and updates provided to the teams.
  • Credit memos over $25,000.
  • Purchase order coding review over $50,000.
  • Coordinate meetings with construction and management teams to ensure a full understanding of the portfolio outside of property accounting team.
  • Special projects for large acquisitions/sales.
  • Willingness to take on additional projects necessary with the continuous growth and development of the company.

  • BA/BS required. Accounting degree preferred.
  • CPA/MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years’ experience working in real estate or with real estate related companies.
  • Public Accounting experience a plus.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, strong organizational skills, proven ability to meet deadlines, works well under pressure and possess the ability to manage people and time efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Yardi experience desired.
