The Sr. Director, User Experience & Design is responsible for leading a high performing team of UX and design professionals who are responsible for designing and delivering functional, repeatable, and beautiful visual representations of data, to drive rapid insight and decisioning. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our products and the way they’re perceived, while being a fierce advocate for our customers. Ideal candidates have insatiable curiosity, are natural problem solvers, and are motivated by delivery and execution. We’re looking for leaders who possess strong instincts, have a track record of success, and are comfortable creating solutions that resolve complexity and ambiguity.  This position can be based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago or New York, Dallas or Miami.

How You Add Value

  • Lead a growing team of user experience professionals, UI designers, and dashboard developers, to bring our data to life 
  • Work closely with customers and product managers to develop personas, identify user needs, understand user motivation and behavior, and design experiences that inform and delight 
  • Develop, implement, and train staff on a new product research process and visual design lifecycle 
  • Develop sustainable design and development practices by overseeing the development of pattern libraries and componentry
  • Mentor and develop staff across the UX and design family of roles 

What You Bring To The Role

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic or visual design, HCI, industrial design, psychology or related business experience 
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience within a UX team 
  • Significant experience in data-rich, reporting, or analytics contexts, with a portfolio of data visualization to show for it 
  • Experience managing and developing design systems, pattern libraries, and component platforms 
  • Experience with design thinking, methodology, and design operations  
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to work within a complex team environment 
  • Experience leading and managing a team of direct reports
