Why This Role Is Valuable 

The Associate –is responsible to be a key contributor to the team supporting all financing and loan closing activities.  This role will interact with lenders, servicers, portfolio companies, internal departments and Blackstone.  This position is based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, IL.

How You Add Value

  • Review loan agreements and compile loan abstracts
  • Coordinate loan closing activities serving as the central point of contact to Blackstone Capital Markets
  • Support lender due diligence requests and coordinate with respective Blackstone Asset Management team and Portfolio Company Asset Management
  • Manage quarterly flash reporting for CMBS loans
  • Track fees paid to various financial parties at closing
  • Track Guaranty exposure and burn down across BREP, BREIT and BPP funds
  • Loan compliance, escrow and reserve oversight
  • Update quarterly Board Book debt schedules and summaries
  • Maintain Chatham debt database
  • Complete weekly disposition loan tracker
  • Assist with audit related debt questions
  • Assist with ALA summary maintenance
  • Coordinate property reimbursements of monthly debt service payments for pooled loans

What You Bring To The Role

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related area
  • Minimum 3 years of Capital Markets experience
  • Loan agreement familiarity
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Solid understanding of Accounting, Finance, and Business principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative and spreadsheet skills
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Strong technological, analytical and problem-solving skills with superior attention to detail
  • Sound judgment in dealing with lender relations and in evaluating when to appropriately escalate issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, team player and have ability to handle multiple projects at once

Preferred:

  • Credit training preferred
  • Commercial, Hotel, Retail, Industrial or Multifamily real estate experience
  • Chatham experience
