Why This Role Is Valuable  

An individual in this role will be responsible for assisting with the weekly payroll processes, ensuring over 1,150 employees are paid correctly. Partner closely with Professional Employer Organization (PEO) provider, Insperity, on payroll and timekeeping processes and procedures.  This individual will also have benefits invoicing and Leave of Absence responsibility.

 

How You Add Value

  • Administer weekly processing of timekeeping data and payroll
  • Process termination, relocation, and other special payrolls in keeping with company policies and state and local regulations
  • Administer benefits and 401(k), confirming accurate deductions in payroll
  • Provide annual compensation planning support
  • Manage Special Payments Tracker, entering various special payments, auditing for accuracy and completeness
  • Notify Treasury team of wire funding needed for payrolls and provide Treasury team with reports of upcoming payroll amounts for cash flow management
  • Manage Leave of Absence administration, including company and state disability plans Calculate, submit, and review leave of absence pay information for payroll process and communicate with employees and managers throughout leaves
  • Remain up to date on state laws regarding pay and leave administration. Advise of new regulations, recommend changes as needed, and assist with implementing changes to ensure compliance
  • Answer employee questions regarding benefits and 401(k) and escalate as necessary to seek resolution
  • Audit new hire set up and employee changes in Insperity Premier and TimeStar
  • Conduct audits to ensure correct pay codes and Paid Time Off (PTO) plans are accurate by position
  • Prepare cost projections for benefits costs, 401(k) employer contributions, payroll taxes, etc. for budgeting purposes
  • Review MetLife enrollment for accuracy and resolve errors. Process invoicing
  • Develop and produce a variety of reports related to employee data, payroll, benefits, etc. according to reporting schedule
  • Subject Matter Expert and point of contact timekeeping questions, leaves, benefits and time off programs for employees and managers

What You Bring To The Role

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting / Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years payroll and timekeeping system experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated with the ability to be flexible in fast-paced, changing environments
  • Collaborative open approach to work and team members
