Why This Role Is Valuable 

The Analyst, Corporate Finance assists with the maintaining accounting records and general ledger for corporate cost centers, preparing financial statements and budget to actual variance analysis. The Analyst will also assist with aggregating data to allocate expenses and bill portfolio companies.  In addition, the Analyst will apply cash and manage Revantage accounts receivable.  This position is based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.

 

How You Add Value

Client Service

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with portfolio companies, building trust while overseeing their accounting operations
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the company's business to drive client visibility into financial trends and key financial metrics
  • Partner with the client to provide financial recommendations and solutions
  • Provide excellent client service to corporate cost centers, portfolio companies and other accounting customers ensuring that their information needs and reporting requirements are met

Corporate Finance

  • Responsible for monthly billings and collections
  • Assist with monthly time tracking process to facilitate monthly billings
  • Assist with the monthly close process by preparing journal entries and managing various asset and liability reconciliations.
  • Assist Senior Associate and Manager in daily accounting activities and month-end closing procedures.
  • Propose and assists in implementing change to current processes that may be identified as needing improvement
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

What You Bring To The Role

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant finance or accounting experience
  • General understanding of US GAAP
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint), accounting software and databases
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills necessary
  • Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
