Why This Role Is Valuable  

The Sr. Associate, PMO Specialist will assist in leading global data initiatives across multiple portfolio companies, Revantage, and Blackstone to collaboratively build a global data platform.  The team will partner with technologists, executives and project managers across Blackstone and its portfolio to gather data, solve problems, and create governance. The team will also be responsible for creating and managing the Program Management Office and providing global program oversight.  

How You Add Value

  • Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, deliverables, and corresponding project governance & decision gating to minimize risks, ensure success, and effectively meet strategic objectives
  • Lead close collaboration across business, technology, and third-party teams to define scope of the program, establish governance and maintain accountability
  • Support and motivate project teams into high functioning collaborators by leveraging effective project communication, documentation, meeting facilitation, and timely issue management
  • Track project-related costs against budget and forecast and provide cost transparency to all stakeholders

What You Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or any closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in project management in a technology organization
  • Understanding of agile methods and processes
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Projects, MS Server, Plainview, Niku HP, or Wrike, Airtable, Smartsheets, Clarity, Primavera
  • Experience in the areas of process optimization, change management, process management and standardization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

 

Preferred:

  • PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certification(s)
  • Experience in the usage of JIRA, ADO, Confluence
  • Knowledge in collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint
