WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

As part of the Revantage legal team, this role will support Blackstone portfolio companies and Revantage on legal issues and projects that span the breadth of the corporate and commercial contracts functions. Responsibilities include commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance, and other general corporate matters. Being an astute and business-oriented attorney is a key component of the position. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills as a well-rounded in-house counsel. It is ideal for a business-oriented attorney with strong customer service skills and the ability to learn quickly. This position is based out of the Revantage headquarters in Chicago, IL.

HOW YOU ADD VALUE

Corporate Legal Responsibilities

  • Oversee and own commercial agreements, including preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of high-value and sensitive commercial agreements, such as IT and SAAS contracts, consulting agreements, and other vendor agreements
  • Draft corporate resolutions, advise on signing authority, and support corporate governance function
  • Engage with and respond to stakeholders on corporate legal questions

Other Responsibilities

  • Support roles in various legal department initiatives aimed at the implementation of process and technology improvements to build Revantage Legal into a best-in-class legal department
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests of other attorneys

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Required:

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience at a large or mid-size law firm with a sophisticated corporate practice or similar experience in-house
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Strong drafting, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
