WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE   

Revantage IT serves multiple Blackstone Portfolio Companies (PortCos) across North America, including but not limited to a wide variety of networks, network platforms, network devices, and security tools. Blackstone, Revantage and the supported PortCos are growing and the need to support that growth is imperative. Growing the network team and its capabilities is an important element to support this expansion. 

HOW YOU ADD VALUE 

  • Lead, design and implement network solutions to meet business needs with a focus on secure, scalable and flexible architectures 
  • Analyze current network design and implementation to make recommendations for improvements and assist in the creation of the network technology roadmap and standards 
  • Lead as level 2/3 escalation point for support and technical assistance 
  • Liaison between IT Infrastructure, other IT teams, 3rd party contractors and business customers 
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues to drive resolution and improvements 
  • Manage and drive technology innovation, leading edge solutions and superior technology implementations 
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep current with developments in networking and cloud platforms 
  • Maintain and create comprehensive documentation and diagrams

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE 

Required:  

  • College degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Network design, implementation and support in a multi-site enterprise environment 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in cloud networking (Azure and AWS) 
  • VoIP administration and troubleshooting (Cisco Call Manager and cloud hosted) 
  • Advanced understanding of network troubleshooting tools including packet capture and analysis 
  • Technological Skills  
    • Firewalls (PaloAltoFortigateSonicwall, Meraki, Cisco) 
    • SD-WAN (Talari, FortigateCloudgenix) 
    • Cloud (Azure, AWS, Virtual Appliances) 
    • Layer2 switching (STP, LACP, Vlans, VTP, ARP, dot1x, QoS) 
    • Layer3 routing (OSPF, BGP, PBF, QoS) 
    • Wireless (Cisco WLC, Meraki) 
    • DNS/DHCP (Infoblox and Microsoft) 
    • Network Monitoring (PRTG, Avuik, SNMP, Cisco Prime) 
    • Security (IDS, ACL, Cisco ISE, Zscaler, Endpoint protection)

  Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Windows desktop/server and Linux server administration and troubleshooting. 
  • Industry Certifications (Cisco, Azure, Zscaler, Fortinet) 
  • Scripting and automation skills
