Why This Role Is Valuable  

The role of the Microsoft 365 Engineer will be responsible for supporting, managing, and enhancing the M365 platform and products. This is a technical role that will also require an understanding of the business challenges the platform helps to solve.

How You Add Value

  • Plan and execute migrations of data inside and outside of the M365 platform
  • Automate processes and reporting through Powershell and GraphAPI
  • Responsible for technical documentation creation and maintenance for M365 technologies
  • Responsible for managing the resolution of major incidents and any escalated problems for M365
  • Responsible for the security, resilience and monitoring of the platform 
  • Configure and manage 3rd party tools and integrations into the M365 platform
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement to the platform
  • Represent M365 in Change Advisory Board meetings
  • Help build and implement governance controls across the M365 platform
  • Collaborate with internal and/or external resources, providing technical expertise for M365

What You Bring To The Role


  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD/Conditional Access
  • 5 years of experience with administration and support for the M365 platform (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, PowerApps, PowerAutomate)
  • Expertise in administering Microsoft Teams including Telephony
  • Scripting and automation experience
    • PowerShell
    • GraphAPI
  • Knowledge with authentication systems such as Okta, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth Kerberos, and LDAP 
  • Excellent writing skills to develop and maintain policies and procedures. 
  • Creation of technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams 
  • Highly developed analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete project tasks within required deadlines
  • Drive and resourcefulness in making contributions both inside and outside areas of specifically assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups when given time for preparation; targeting presentations to characteristics or needs of the audience
  • Presenting complex/technical information in a form that non-technical people can understand
  • General understanding of business processes 
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing in diverse situations with all levels of management, vendors, customers (internal), and peers
  • Ability and willingness to continue to expand knowledge and experience base
  • Ability to function as part of a team, involving and supporting others to get the job done
