Why This Role Is Valuable  

The Senior Manager – Business Strategist role is responsible for leading and managing key strategic projects, providing thought leadership for effective project delivery and providing guidance and oversight of less senior department personnel. This position is based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, IL.

How You Add Value

Project Management:

  • Establish and maintain project approach and methodology and procedures for program and project management
  • Define and develop deliverables, tools, and templates to be used within the BT department; provide training to enable department personnel to utilize
  • Prepare and maintain the project toolkit supporting the design, development and launch of new RCS services

Project Management Delivery:

  • Lead large scale projects that impact multiple stakeholder groups (internal, Blackstone, Real Estate Portfolios, external service providers)
  • Create status reporting and forward-looking recommendations on risks, issues, actions, decisions, and dependencies
  • Develop periodic executive reports and conduct presentations for key stakeholders (RCS Senior Leadership, Real Estate Company Leaders) regarding BT programs and status

Business Process Development and Continuous Improvement:

  • Partner with Revantage departments to document policies, procedures, and processes
  • Provide framework, workplan and templates used with Department leaders to conduct current state process assessments, future state process design
  • Facilitate and support process improvement working sessions with Departments to foster idea generation and prioritize improvement opportunities
  • Translate identified improvements (e.g., process changes, technology changes) into defined projects/tasks; work with department resources, technology resources to implement changes
  • Work with Department leads to develop business cases to aid in investment decisions needed to support process improvements
  • Partner with RCS departments, RCS senior leadership and to define and implement Service Level Agreement (SLA) metrics
  • Design management reports to measure actual results to defined SLA; facilitate processes to generate reports
  • Establish processes to collect feedback and input from Real Estate Companies and RCS Departments on the adequacy of in place processes to meet business needs; utilize input for continuous improvement program

What You Bring To The Role


  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Project Management, Business Administration, Accounting or Information Technology
  • Minimum 10 years related work experience in areas of responsibility identified for role
  • PMO experience and/or Shared Services Organization Management experience
  • Experience in business process re-engineering and process improvement techniques
  • Experience with project management software
  • Ability to conduct meetings and presentations with Executive level stakeholders
  • Excellent skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to partner with multiple, diverse stakeholders
  • Strong change management skills will ability to drive organization, process, continuous improvement and technology change
  • Strong team player with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, while thriving in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Six Sigma Certification


  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience with Financial Software (Yardi, MRI, Workday, MS Dynamics)
  • Experience with collaboration tools (SharePoint, and other Content Management applications)
  • Experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls
