Why This Role Is Valuable

The Workday Engineer will be responsible for partnering with business stakeholders to define, build, and implement Financial Systems applications, reports, integrations and/or functionality; utilizing EIBs, Cloud Connectors, Workday Studio, BIRT, and Workday reports. The Workday Engineer will be actively involved in administering the Workday application. This position also involves documenting business processes and coordinating all aspects of system integration projects from initiation to delivery.

How You Add Value

  • Administration of the Workday application both security and configuration
  • Design, develop, and support integrations between Integration Hub, Workday and other 3rd party applications, utilizing Microsoft SQL Integrations Services (SSIS), Workday Electronic Interface Builder (EIBs), Cloud Connectors, and Studio integrations
  • Build and facilitate use of Workday web services and APIs
  • Design, develop, and support custom Workday reports
  • Research the Workday system upgrade content and make recommendations for using new features
  • Design, develop, and support Microsoft SQL Server related objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and functions
  • Administration of Microsoft Master Data services (MDS) as it relates to integrations.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

What You Bring To The Role

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related business experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing solutions and administering ERP applications
  • Expert knowledge of Workday system including Security, Business Processes, Hierarchies, Supervisory Organizations, Custom Organizations, Spend Categories, Revenue Categories, Account Sets, Ledger summaries, and Calculated fields
  • Extensive experience with Workday development technologies – EIBs, Cloud Connectors, Studio Integrations, Reports
  • Experience with Workday Report Designer (BIRT)
  • Strong experience with Microsoft technologies related to business intelligence including but not limited to SQL Server database, integration services, reporting services and analysis services
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Integration Services
  • Understanding of Data Modeling practices, pertaining to relational and dimensional models
  • Experience using code repository software, Team Foundation Server or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team environment
