WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

The AVP, Procurement, Supplier Diversity, has a unique and once in a lifetime opportunity to help shape, develop, and build Revantage’ s supplier diversity program.  You will be a key pillar in helping to oversee the design and build-out of an industry-leading portfolio-wide supplier diversity program and will play a critical role in implementing strategy and the evolution of a program that supports our enterprise mission of advancing diversity, equity and inclusion and support of our ESG strategy. This position will be based in the U.S. as part of Revantage’s procurement and ESG functions and will report to Revantage’s Vice President, Procurement.

 

Note: This position is 100% remote. 

HOW YOU ADD VALUE

As background, the procurement platform involves leveraging over $60 billion in spend data across 150+ portfolio companies which provides incredible visibility to what the portfolio companies purchase globally. As part of the platform, we have also developed over 75 preferred vendor partnerships to leverage our buying power across the portfolio. In addition, we have a dedicated Blackstone team of procurement professionals within a shared service operation which our portfolio companies utilize to execute eSourcing bid events with over 800 events globally per year across thousands of vendors. We utilize additional tools including Salesforce which has over 25,000 procurement projects we have/had executed and other tools including Interos for supply chain risk assessment.

 

  • Diversity Platform Design - work closely with key internal personnel to understand current supplier diversity baseline across firm and portfolio companies, understand current toolset to manage spend and RFP execution, identify gaps in toolset, and build out longer term platform vision and roadmap
  • Platform Tracking/Utilization - analyze, track, and publish customized metrics reporting to monitor progress towards goals, diverse supplier utilization trends, contract performance and procurement spending to inform decision-making. Provide insightful and actionable guidance via senior management level reporting and analysis
  • Program Awareness - Raise the level of awareness throughout the company regarding the business case for Supplier Diversity. Co-develop training initiatives and resources to guide and educate partners for success regarding engagement and communications
  • Procurement Team Engagement - demonstrate strong multi-category knowledge and expertise in Supplier Diversity and diverse business enterprise ecosystems. Understand benchmarking data, best practices, industry trends, supply risk and emerging technologies. Utilize category knowledge and subject matter expertise to build credibility with stakeholders
  • Collaboration – Collaborate cross-functionally, across-regions and categories to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to inclusive procurement. Specifically, work closely with our centralized sourcing center to recommend and bring diverse suppliers to upcoming RFPs
  • Diverse Supplier Pipeline - Establish pipelines of diverse-owner companies that meet sourcing requirements to influence inclusion in upcoming RFPs and non-competitive supplier selection opportunities, as appropriate
  • Mentorship - Develop and mentor diverse suppliers in collaboration with business units for future opportunities and needs 
  • External Partner Relationships - cultivate and maintain external partner relationships with diverse supplier organizations (i.e., NMSDC, WBENC, NGLCC, WEConnect International, etc.) and industry groups that routinely interact with the supplier community. Liaise externally on industry initiatives within Blackstone to represent our program and help drive growth in supplier diversity

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Revantage seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.

 

  • Minimum of 5 years with full lifecycle Sourcing & Procurement Management, Supply Chain, Supplier/Vendor Management, Business Development, Program Management, or Supplier Diversity
  • Strong systems and tools experience: Data Analytics/Visualization tools, Spend Visibility (Ariba or similar), Salesforce
  • Experience in the following industries Construction/Facilities Management, Logistics, Marketing/Creative, Technology, Professional Services, Media Production Services, or Direct Materials
  • Demonstrating program and change management skills and tools to manage across diverse organizations and industry sectors including technology, procurement, operations, and finance 
  • Demonstrating experience in deploying technology solutions across varying industries and companies with a process-oriented approach
  • Ability to work with senior leadership and users at all levels to define requirements, evaluate benefits, develop business and use cases, and help facilitate prioritization
  • Manage projects and priorities with minimal oversight and make independent decisions and know when to reach out for guidance or feedback or escalation
  • Experience recording detailed requirements or design documents and are comfortable documenting end-to-end functional, technical, reporting, and data needs
  • Leadership and coaching skills to engage portfolio companies to drive change across vendor sourcing and selection process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as how to drive consensus among senior level stakeholders, manage expectations, and build strong relationships
  • Developing and establishing supplier diversity programs and/or organization
  • Must be willing to travel 25% domestically
