Why This Role Is Valuable  

The VP, Engagement & Project Management Office will partner with Revantage and portfolio company (Clients) business leaders to build a deep understanding of each company’s business as well as their strategies, goals, and overall technology needs. This role will primarily be responsible for direct technology engagement inside Revantage and leadership of the engagement and PMO functions overall. This role will translate Client business requirements to drive the execution, implementation, and delivery of technology initiatives on time and on budget.  This role will be pivotal in building the Revantage relationship with the Client and serves as a bridge between the two organizations. Our successful candidate should be motivated to understand our client’s technology needs and truly become a respected part of the Client’s leadership team who knows how to drive results into tangible outcomes for our client company.

 

 

The technology organization comprises a team of technology and data professionals focused on delivering solutions to improve decision-making, optimize internal business processes, increase operational efficiency, and transform data into actionable insights.  Our successful candidate will need to build strong relationships across the business and the IT organization in order to ensure the IT delivery teams are working in concert with the business to deliver superior service.

 

How You Add Value

PMO Leadership

  • Oversee the technology PMO team of professionals
  • Work with the PMO Lead to drive close project collaboration across business, technology, and third-party teams to deliver projects that are on time, on budget, and in scope with strong stakeholder alignment and buy-in leveraging a project delivery framework
  • Drive the execution of Revantage and Client's roadmaps and project initiatives; support Revantage and Clients through all technology initiatives
  • Contribute to the creation of standardized processes and best practices for project execution and delivery; drive consistent and standard reporting for all program and project initiatives: project status, actuals v. budget, risks/issues, etc.
  • Deliver significant individual contributions while collaborating with and strengthening teammates

 

Technology Partnership/Collaboration

  • Participate in Technology Strategy planning with the Client, provide and collaborate on insights into technology innovations and trends in the real estate market
  • Participate in the development, management and periodic review of strategic technology roadmaps (2-year view); participate in IT assessments and diagnostics across all Clients
  • Develop a deep understanding of Client’s business processes and assist in documenting and maintaining taxonomies and tools inventories
  • Partner with the Client on the overall Demand Management process, collaborate on business case development for new technology initiatives, presenting to the Demand Board for review and approval, and providing oversight, guidance and updates through implementation
  • Execute and delivery of technology initiatives with client and internal team, including leadership of RFP process and required technology vendor management, assess and evaluation technology options and solutions with client and internal team

Financial Management

  • Partner with the Client and Revantage Finance on the creation and management of IT capital plans (annually)
  • Establish project budgets/forecasts and track and report on project spend leveraging the PMO
  • Ensure technology cost transparency and management by assisting Revantage Finance in the review of technology cost allocations, monthly pre-billings, and invoice true-ups
  • Collaborate with Client and internal teams on cost analysis, financial modeling and continuous focus on cost reduction and savings opportunities
  • Partner with the Managing Director and CIO to ensure technology cost transparency and management; oversee third party management contracts and resources (managing third party consulting orgs that will deliver projects)

 

Relationship Management

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with business clients at various levels of the Client organization, building trust and advocating for their needs and priorities and serve as the main point of contact for the IT organization
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the company's business and drive the business relationship with key internal partners
  • Lead monthly Technology Services Review with Client, collaborate with internal teams on content creation and delivery to ensure the IT team exceeds the Client’s expectations
  • Contribute to and complete, as needed, technology updates for Revantage and Client board books, board material, quarterly technology updates and any ad-hoc reporting needs
  • Serve as a point of escalation to help resolve Client issues and serve as a bridge between the Client and Revantage for technology and issue resolution
  • Supervise and lead one or more technology-focused staff members  

What You Bring To The Role

Required:

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of technology experience, including 3 years of managing client relationships and engagement
  • A proven track record of using data and technology to capitalize on business opportunities
  • Experience in developing and leveraging a data and analytics capability within the business
  • Real Estate industry expertise and understanding of competitive landscape
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority is critical
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships as a liaison between technology team and clients
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
  • Capacity to work within complex systems and large data sets
  • A desire to be a part of and help grow a great team and organization
  • The passion to learn, grow, and help us to improve our business and that of our clients
