Why This Role Is Valuable  

You’ll help ensure success of our data endeavors and define the right problems to solve. Business Analysts are part of a team delivering data and analytics products to our customers. Working at the intersection of today’s challenges and tomorrow’s yet-to-be-defined solutions, you’ll be responsible for understanding business processes, assessing data, gathering and documenting requirements for product features, and collaborating with an Agile cross-functional team of designers, software developers and business stakeholders. This position will be based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, IL.

How You Add Value

  • Represent our products and product team members by leading direct conversations with customers and subject matter experts
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their businesses, and the challenge they face
  • Gather and document requirements based on customer inputs and feedback, including acceptance criteria
  • Analyze and interpret data and assess opportunities for use in solving business problems
  • Define epics, features, and stories in a system like Jira
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, architects, and other teams to bring specificity to our product definitions
  • Validate acceptance criteria for implemented solutions
  • Participate in the consistent execution of our product lifecycle from concept to launch

What You Bring To The Role

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field with passion for technology or related experience
  • Demonstrated interest in business, institutional finance/private equity, and real estate
  • 6-10 years relevant experience in business analysis, product management, software engineering, or related roles
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (like Scrum and Kanban)
  • Proficiency with data analysis and data profiling using SQL
  • Fluency in data formats & models (dimensional, data vault, hierarchies)
  • Seasoned in datawarehousing concepts and terminologies
  • Experienced in working with engineering and cross functional teams to deliver digital products
  • Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Experience with Yardi preferred
