The AVP, BREIT Fund Accounting is responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate monthly close and financial reporting for BREIT Upper tier Entities and Control Alignment across the Blackstone Portfolio Companies within the BREIT Portfolio. The AVP will supervise, and develop one or more Senior Accountants or Accountants, and assist the Sr AVP in other Fund Accounting responsibilities. This position is based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, IL.




  • Lead Efforts to Align Controls across Revantage Investment Accounting Teams and Portfolio Companies
    • Develop robust Control Narratives
    • Refine, Align and Improve Control Process across Asset Classes and Funds
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures
    • Partner with leadership across the Asset Classes to develop and refine controls
    • Responsible for Fund upper tier entity accounting inclusive of Debt Sleeve and Promote Accounting
    • Responsible for Cash Activity inclusive of Distributions and Contributions for Upper tier BREIT Entities
    • Responsible for closing the Monthly Financials and for Upper Tier Data Loads
    • Partner with Citgo for Debt Sleeve Accounting and Reporting
  • Partner with BREIT Fund Financial Reporting Lead to prepare and review various Fund Level reporting inclusive of SEC Reporting and Controls.
    • SOC 1 Review and Mapping
    • SEC disclosure schedules
    • Cash flow and available funds reporting
    • Financial statement reviews inclusive of the 10Q/ 10K Reconciliation
  • Coordinate report updates and reviews with Managers and Accountants on the BREIT Team
  • Confirm that BREIT Accounting and Reporting is in accordance with GAAP ensuring results properly reflect the company’s financial position

Relationship Management

  • Responsible for Blackstone and the various Portfolio Company’s satisfaction with the Fund Accounting team’s performance, responsiveness, and interactions
  • Lead initiatives to ensure smooth business partner experience across the team
  • Become day-to-day go-to person for Revantage business partners and Blackstone
  • Respond to business partner inquiries and commit to deliverables by leveraging resources across the team
  • Partner with senior managers to identify and drive external relationships with the team’s key contacts and stakeholders




  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in accounting, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills necessary
  • Self-starter with strong team leadership and problem-solving skills, the aptitude to think independently, and the motivation to work with multiple teams in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment


  • Public Accounting Experience
  • CPA certification
  • Real estate knowledge
