WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

Our Corporate Tax intern is hired for a 10-week immersive experience in which the intern is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for Blackstone’s real estate funds’ investments. During the internship, individuals will receive training and work on a variety of projects that directly impact the business. Summer interns are immediately a part of our collaborative culture and build enduring relationships with their fellow interns, manager, and assigned mentor. Summer interns also have the opportunity to network with various professionals through organized social events. Finally, each summer intern will work with an assigned mentor to complete a project and present their findings with other interns to the executive leadership team. This position is based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, IL.

Our 2024 summer analyst internship program will begin June 2024 and last through August 2024. To be eligible, you must be a college student during the time of the internship program.

Responsibilities

HOW YOU ADD VALUE

  • Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for Blackstone owned partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations on a timely basis
  • Research, resolve, and respond to state and federal regulatory agencies’ notices
  • Obtain FEINs and preparing W-9s as needed
  • Gather management and accounting information
  • Obtain any necessary clarification, request additional information, and communicate with various departments concerning any problems that arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Required:

  • Current junior or senior, undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution (graduating 2025) pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting or current graduate students between their fourth and fifth years in an MST/MPA/MBA in Accounting program (graduating in 2025)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities
  • Ability to work in Chicago in a full-time capacity for ten weeks, beginning in June of 2024

Preferred:

  • Experience with spreadsheets, tax preparation software, and FAS2000
