Why This Role is Valuable

 

The AVP, People Compliane role will oversee all aspects of Revantage's People Compliance, supporting over 1,400 employees nationwide. The AVP, People Compliance is a critical liaison between HR functions, Technology, Legal and Operations by developing and implementing HR compliance strategies, legal and regulatory compliance and staying up-to-date with changes in labor laws and employment regulations.

 

Responsibilities

How You Add Value

 

  • Develop and implement HR compliance strategies: Collaborating with Senior Leadership and Legal to establish and execute effective HR compliance strategies that align with the portfolio partners goals and objectives.
  • Legal and regulatory compliance: Stay up to date with changes in labor laws, employment regulations, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and provide proactive guidance on legal requirements. Will manage and file the U.S. state and federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) reporting and other government reporting requirements and audits.
  • Policy and procedure development: Develop, update, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure alignment with legal requirements and industry standards. In partnership with Legal, review policies and implement new ones as needed.
  • HR auditing and risk assessment: Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of HR processes, practices, and documentation to identify potential compliance gaps or areas of improvement. Partners with portfolio partners and legal to assess risk of HR compliance changes within different states.
  • Vendor Management: Manage and maintain relationships with Compliance vendors. Manage compliance training, process, and annual review of offerings to ensure best approach for ongoing compliance training requirements for employees.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions, if needed for policy changes.
  • Perform other compliance duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

What You Bring To The Role

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources Compliance functions.
  • Experience with legal and regulatory compliance (labor laws, employment regulations, and industry best practices).
  • Advanced knowledge of DOL, Federal, and CA employment laws and procedures that impact HR information.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize conflicting business needs, quickly resolve issues, and address root causes while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead by influence outside of hierarchy and build collaborative relationships within and outside of People & Culture (cross-functionally and with vendor partners).
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
